WRESTLING

Wrestling is one of the oldest combat sports, in which two athletes compete by grappling, throwing, and controlling each other on a mat. The objective is to score points through successful techniques or win by pinning the opponent's shoulders to the mat.

Basic Rules

  1. 1Wrestlers score points for takedowns, reversals, escapes, and exposure moves.
  2. 2A pin (fall) occurs when both of an opponent's shoulders are held on the mat, resulting in an immediate victory.
  3. 3Matches are divided into timed periods.
  4. 4Illegal holds and unsportsmanlike conduct are penalized.
  5. 5The wrestler with the most points at the end of the match wins if there is no pin.

The United World Wrestling is the amateur Wrestling World Championship organized by the United World Wrestling each year

Asian Wrestling Championships

The Asian Wrestling Championships is the Wrestling Asian Championship organized by the Asian Associated Wrestling Committee (AAWC).

The men's tournament began in 1979 and the women's tournament was first staged in 1996, and it has been held every year.
