TABLE TENNIS
Table Tennis, also known as Ping Pong, is a fast-paced indoor racket sport played between two players (singles) or two pairs (doubles). Players use small rackets to hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table divided by a net.
Key Features
- Players : Singles (1 vs 1) or Doubles (2 vs 2).
- Playing Area : Rectangular table divided by a net.
- Equipment : Table tennis table, racket (paddle), ball, and net.
- Objective : Score points by making the ball land on the opponent's side in a way that cannot be returned legally.
Basic Rules
- 1A match is usually played as the best of 5 or 7 games.
- 2A game is won by the first player/team to reach 11 points with at least a 2-point lead.
- 3Players alternate serves every two points.
- 4The ball must bounce once on the server's side and then on the receiver's side during a serve.
- 5A point is scored when the opponent fails to make a valid return.
