Olympic Games

The modern Olympic Games or Olympics are leading international sporting events featuring summer and witner sports competitions in which thousands of athletes from around the world participate in a variety of competitions.

The Olympic Games are considered the world’s foremost sports competition with more than 200 nations participating.

The Olympic Games are held every four years, with the Summer and winter Games alternating by occurring every four years but two years apart.

The Paralympic Games are held every four years, organized by the International Paralympic Committee.

The Winter Paralympic Games is an international multi – sport event where athletes with physical disabilities compete in snow and ice sports.

This includes athletes with mobility disabilities, amputations, blindness and cerebral palsy.

The Winter Paralympic Games are held every four year directly following the Winter Olympic Games.

The Winter Paralympics are also hosted by the city that hosted the Winter Olympics.
